Unlock upgrades while crafting with conditions

Since the update which locked in place upgrades in crafting table while a task is running, it has been quite painful to manage and waste food on big quantity of craft.Could it be possible to add a mechanism which would allow with some conditions to be able to remove an upgrade to level it up, specialize it, or just move it to something more meaningful with it (Sometime you cannot afford more upgrades, or simply lack of available ressources to craft more).I would imagine something like the ability to claim a task from someone else after a period of time, but with a shorter limit. It would be interesting to turn off a crafting table for let's say 15min, and be able to then remove the upgrade to do whatever we want with it until we need to place it back.Since the crafting system is able to refresh cost value between crafting ticks, it would be more efficient and convenient for all kind of player (from casual to min/max), and remove frustrating mechanics which are simply blocking actions.

Thank you for feedback :) Unfortunately we already have other plans for modules as part of the upcoming rework of the skill system. One part of this rework - that is scheduled to happen in multiple stages over multiple updates - will be a consolidation of the modules into fewer different modules. These modules however will require to use up a star to be applied to a work table and the application will be permanent and rise the requirements of the work table, for example by increasing the needed tier or adding a need for mechanical or electrical power. Given the plan is for modules to be permanent changes to a work table that players need to think about to make the best use of their limited stars, we unfortunately have no plans to allow taking modules out of crafting tables with queued projects in the meanwhile anymore.
