Storage range is too restrictive
The way the storages connect to crafting tables and stores is too restrictive. The short range makes is so you have to strategically place tables and stores to try to maximize what they connect to. This often results in having to choose between building a base that’s functional versus a base that is visually appealing. By default, any storages placed on owned property should have the ability to be connected to any crafting table/store/etc. on the property.

There already is the setting "ConnectionRangeModifier" in Difficulty.eco that allows you to increase the range - as noted in the documentation for that setting it is extremely performance intensive. That would also apply to your suggestion, but to an even higher degree - which unfortnately makes this suggestion not very viable. Due to that and the already planned logistics overhaul that will limit transfer of goods via UIs, I'm closing this suggestion. While we intend to introduce many QoL features from searching over filtering to sorting and plan to continue to support very short range UI transfers, logistics in Eco is a very important thing that we want to go into a different direction with, requiring more manual interaction for bigger goods instead of simple UI transfers, eliminating exploits like stockpile elevators. We already had posted an outlook on that a while ago with shelves, containers, container ships and forklifts. For this it is intended that the placement of your storage plays a key role in the setup of your base. Please note that you can continue to vote on this suggestion nontheless.
