Storage Options
It would be very interesting if there were more options for storage in addition to and as an extension of stockpiles.
For example, shelves in which boxes can be placed. This could also be very appealing with portable boxes that can contain inventory items, for example.
In addition to this, you could integrate tools or vehicles that allow you to transport multiple boxes.
For example, a stacking cart or similar.
Also containers that can be loaded onto trucks & ships.
You could also offer the possibility that these crates are traded similar to packages.
This could enable a kind of delivery service as an activity. For example, by specifying an addressee, which means that the contents are locked and can only be unlocked by the recipient.
Overall, it would be interesting to see containers that can be moved so that the storage of objects is less static in stockpiles and more in-world.
In order to keep normal stockpiles meaningful, you could include the fact that movable boxes cannot be used as input. But as output as a shipping box.
In addition, you could include the possibility that moveable containers can be placed in stockpiles in order to empty their contents into them.
This could create a new interesting dynamic in trading and reduce the amount of stockpiles as most of the produced goods are exported.
