Pollution impacting players (negative XP ?)

Add a malus for players if they stay for too long in polluted areas. My idea was a malus of XP (like -5% or -10%) but other things could work too. Pollution is bad for people's health. Adding this aspect in the game could be interesting, forcing people to avoid polluted areas or to make laws to avoid pollution in cities. The malus could be based on air pollution or air pollution + ground pollution, increasing with the value of pollution and/or exposed time. The implementation could be done in different ways : - Depending of time in a polluted area - Depending of the pollution score of the residence

This has already been implemented in a different form, rooms of a house that suffer from ground pollution get their XP gain reduced since Update 13. While we are considering to expand this to air pollution and the new pollution types coming with Update 14, we have no current plans to extend it specifically to where the player stays - that would unfortunately be overly complex.

Depending of time in a polluted area – This would be annoying and not fun Depending of the pollution score of the residence – This would be amazing

It'd be nice if it also reduced the calories gained from food somehow, to emulate health problems. Maybe even just a malus to all calories spent within the polluted area? That would further discourage concentrating pollution-producers too (while being somewhat balanced by the general reduction in calorie need with industrialization).

Luaan Yeah that's a nice idea too. Also having a helmet or or a mask that protects you from pollution could be a way to keep working in high pollution areas without this malus
