Mayor as own profession with own perks
On my actual Server Player Zbirka has i nice idea i like to share here.
Make Mayor an own profession with own perks for level up. It takes so much time to manage a town that this reflect much better the worthiness of a mayor job.
Also it reflects much better an experienced mayor do things faster / better, can make more things.
I know it its a job by vote and you can loose it again, but should be no problem to put an automatism in the game, that ask you, if you want to keep the profession or want to get back the star after you loose an election.

Instead of a profession perks could be earned by growing the town and achieving goals. That way it is not something you put a star in. The mayor could receive rewards based on the milestones they achieved while in office.
