Load mods before NetworkServer and ensure network-related objects are moddable
The game being inherently multiplayer, this component is critical to the success of server operations.
However, the current optimistic implementation of the queue system can quickly be overloaded with tens of players attempt to join at the same time, as it was recently experienced on an intensive 100 limit server with a queue sometimes also containing as much players.
However, since the mods are loaded after an instance of the NetworkManager is created, this is no way to implement a different queue system and have server owners experiment with other ideas.
One such idea would have been to sequence players in the queue not only based on their priority (whitelist mechanism) but also based on a set time between each player allowed in: this would help flattening the data transfer spikes experienced on player join/download, avoiding to much of it at once, leading to server overload and/or network resources starvation.
There might be other problems related to too much players joining at once, but the core idea of this suggestion is to remove that burden for you, busy developers, and empower server owners with the ability to try things out, enhancing/fixing their instance.

We do not currently plan to extend the modding capabilities to include network related code, a suggestion for that would also be so specific it should be posted in the ModKit GitHub, which is the right place for modding related suggestions: https://github.com/StrangeLoopGames/EcoModKit/issues This suggestion also seems to mainly come from a potential bug - one that unfortunately was not reported on our tracker. I had seen a few reports about it happening in discord at that time and created an internal issue, but we were not able to get similar issues on White Tiger despite having similar queue numbers after release. It would hence be very important that a server that has issues reports them on our bugtracker when they occur and allows us to investigate the issues directly on their server or gives us more information that would allow to find why the problems were not recreatable on our official server where investigation into such complex issues is much easier for our team: https://github.com/StrangeLoopGames/EcoIssues/issues We're happy to be contacted via Discord DM's (best to me, so I can redirect accordingly) when the issue is currently occuring again as well, given the timeframe it can be investigated is limited.
