General Feedback
Part 2: Then one of my overall gripes, it seems like there's still little room for actual soil adjustment or irrigation even after many years. If there is a line of oaks nearby with high yield potential, but then rainfall falls off rapidly at my property but still within the same biome... I simply cant have oaks there. But why is there a hard 0% line though? Why isn't there instead a chance for an acorn to eventually grow even if slim when there are other oaks in the vicinity in the same biome? Why not let aqueducts/irrigation nearby actually compensate for low rainfall. Let us use real life techniques to better increase the chances for things to grow like this beyond fertilizers.
Then the legislation aspects of the game are still too inaccessible and finicky for the majority of players. You shouldn't have to be a programmer to create good and robust laws that don't break. In my experience this barrier stops many from trying to interact with the system at all. This part of the game still needs careful rethought.
(I realize now the following has been hotfixed:) Lastly, the bugginess with the vehicles makes it borderline unplayable. Routinely having to let go and grab your carts or to get out and back into your vehicle so that the wheels have friction again or are not sinking into the roads...plus vehicles sometimes floating and having to build a staircase up to them to get them back down. Vehicles not clamping onto transport ships properly and able to fall off into the ocean or clip through the ship itself. The /freecar command allowing it to clip through anything and be very unpredictable with placement. If a vehicle is stuck perhaps make the calories to move it free or heavily discounted?
I still had a really fun time, but with all these system issues I honestly fear for the future of the game. A game I love and has helped me grow real friendships.
If you made it this far I thank you for reading, and I'll end with the good stuff. After the hotfix the game lighting looks sooo much better, really lets the beauty of what you can build shine, and overall the game feels prettier. The free placement is really nice, despite my gripes with it. I love the outdoor aspects to housing and all the new goodies we have gotten over the years. I especially love that carts underground and underground ore doesn't teleport to the surface nearly as often.

Hello Michael, thanks for your feedback! We have read it and appreciate the time you took to write it. Unfortunately the intent of this tracker is to post feedback and suggestions in a format that other players can vote on it - that means keeping every issue to a single, actionable suggestion related to a single, coherent topic. Your issue mainly consists of diverse general feedback that doesn't allow the tracker to fulfill its purpose - I'm hence closing this issue as it is not very suitable for voting. For general feedback, you can always write directly to support@strangeloopgames.com or on any of our other channels in the respective feedback areas. You can also try to form some of your feedback into specific actionable issues that players could vote on. In that case, it is recommended to use the search function beforehands, as some of your feedback already has issues that you could add your own vote to.
