Energy in Hardwood vs. Softwood
Hardwood takes twice the time to chop down, but gives of the same amount of energy when used as fuel. I'd say Hardwood needs to reflect the chopping time in an at least double amount of energy.

isn't it already compensated by hardwood trees generally yielding more logs than softwood ones?
