Display A Block's "Depth" Just LIke Coordinates
Spawning of blocks are based not on sea level but on how far below the surface a block was on world generation. It would be nice to see that value just like we see the xyz coordinates of a block.
Currently the best workaround is dropping a marker on your location and subtracting the difference and assume the top layer had not been altered.

We don't intend to add this information to the game, as it would be "gamey". Players are not supposed to use their knowledge of where things spawn for sole technical reasons, but rather the in-game methods available, like prospecting drills. As we plan to add an exploration aspect to Eco in future versions, this would also contradict our goals that go more into a direction where even the planet surface itself could need to be discovered first before being able to see the full map. While it is understandable that some players prefer to use out of game information to make their lives easier, it is not the gameplay style we would like to promote and support by showing sole technical information. Please note that as usual voting on closed suggestions is still possible, but for us to revisit them they require a notably higher amount of votes compared to other suggestions.
