Combustion engine / waste filter dependency loop

If you have a combustion engine generating electricity, you can't pipe its sewage to a waste filter. Since the waste filter requires electricity and the engine requires sewage output, you can't turn both of them on at the same time. In effect you can't use one with the other.

If a waste generator is the only thing demanding electric power, the combustion generator should turn off.

I've found that you can, but it disables the auto-shutoff feature of the generator since it keeps needing to supply power to the waste filter. I log in hours later and find the fuel's been exhausted and vastly more pollution has been generated than just dumping raw sewage into the river.
