Remove Professions and Change How Star Increases Work Per Skill To Reduce Vertical Integration But Not Remove It

What I would like to see is a resolution to Verticle Integration without actually removing it. Because if you truly want something like Mining, Smelting, Mechanics or Gathering, Farming, Hunting, Butchery, Cooking etc.. Then you should be able to, but with a catch... it should be much harder to achieve and how do we do this? By making it when you LEARN a skill all skills increase by 1 to 5 stars based on how closely they ingrate with each other. NO INTEGRATION = 1 Star Increase LOW INTEGRATION = 2 Star Increase MEDIUM INTEGRATION = 3 Star Increase HIGH INTREGRATION = 4 Star Increase EXTREME INTEGRATION = 5 Star Increase An example is as follows **** YOU LEARN MINING **** Cost 1 Star Smelting increases by 5 Masonry increases by 4 Adv Masonry increases by 4 Glassworking increases by 3 Everything else increases by 1. **** YOU LEARN SMELTING **** COST 5 Stars + Base Cost Mechanics increases by 5. Adv Smelting increases by 4. **** YOU LEARN Mechanics **** COST 6 Stars + Base Cost Mechanics increases by 5. Adv Smelting increases by 4. I don't remember the "Base Costs" but basically you're looking at nearly 20 stars to learn these 3 skills. When you could have learned like Mining, Logging, Gathering in 6 Stars. It doesn't have to be done with these numbers, but the idea is that learning a certain skills puts pressure on learning vertical integrated skills which in turn slow down these types of players from abusing the benefits of vertical integration when the rest of the server isn't pushing that direction themselves. So you're allowed to do it, but you'd have to put in far more effort to achieve it then others who went non vertical aligned skills allowing them the ability to make better use of their skills sooner before you can do a whole chain of a skill for no cost on your end.

I would also like to ADD that I think Talents should be more aligned with limiting what you can actually do within a skill as well. So there's two way this could go. Way 1 - How we have lumber reduced by like 40% with 5 stars we could have the ability to reduce every recipe type and people have to pick and choose which recipes they want to reduce. So for instance a Mining Skill could reduce Copper Concentrate by 40% for 5 stars, Iron Concentrate by 40% for 5 stars, and Gold Concentrate by 40% for 5 stars meaning if you want all 3 it will cost you 15 stars. Way 2 - We could have it where learning the skill is slightly reduced in cost and you now need stars to unlock each recipe item almost like you're learning how to actually do the skill. Then Leveling the EXP just reduces labor and possibly speeds up some processes. So Level 1 has no reductions then Level 7 has a 50% faster craft and 50% less labor to craft or 100% more damage. I like Way 1 better because now a Mining Skill has to invest like 18 stars to be a professional miner and maker of all concentrates. This would go perfect for a player to be an ONLY mining skill.
