Cars!
So! We have trucks, but why not add cars? perhaps they would be more fuel efficient, and faster than a truck in exchange for not being able to carry as much.
Some ideas for vehicle models to be based on, I would say:
steam truck tier - Ford Model A 1927 Touring
Truck tier - 2006 Ford Taurus

Cars in real life are pretty inefficient and resource hungry. I would hope any addition reflects that.
