Canned food

Currently there's the drying rack for producing dried fish, but how about some other food preservation options: - Canning (corn, beans, soup, fish, meat) - Bottling (glass + sugar + fruit = jam) - Salting (meats) - Pickling (veggies) Preserved foods would generally have lower food values and cost more to make, but last longer. Canned foods would require metal (ideally tin/aluminum, but could use steel). Eating canned food could generate an empty can object, which you'd need to dispose of or ideally recycle (late game).

A can can easily (pardon the pun) be collected and molten back into an ingot. Just needs the smelter to do it. Glass jars and clay/ceramic pots - the new nail/molds of the food industry!?
