Battery and a marine ressource(manganese geode)
After exploring the abyss there isn't much to mine in particular that make it necessary to go or to worry about pollution, so i thought about manganese geode, they are a sought after resource for deep sea mining and use to make carbon-zinc battery. Furthermore, they could be a very slowly replenishable resource when the pollution is low and they also seem to have a great effect on the environment so over mining could induce pollution to stay longer. And i saw in the planned feature you want to add features related to electricity like wire and selling it, i think battery would greatly help.

The most real-world use of manganese is in the production of alloyed steel which is stronger and less polluting to produce and manganese as manganese dioxide is a catalyst so it would allow for filter system of an higher level and be able to clean partially the tailing waste. And it can be use to make dyes, like brown.
