Negative ghost rider. What if you're a Hunter/Butcher and your neighbor is a industralist. There is high levels of abusement when you get fined for air pollution that you didn't cause because of your neighbor. You're basically punishing anyone who lives in vicinity of that person who is a smelter/industralist. The execution of this system would not work because it would not differentiate between where the pollution is. You're punishing also towns that choose to be between as well. This entire suggestion is basically telling the devs need to rework the entire from the ground up to be feasible.
Callista Clyne yes, it's almost like a carpenter irl set up next to a filthy polluted industrial district might have some adverse health affects rather than if he was in the fresh aired forest
Callista Clyne "it would not differentiate between where the pollution is" there literally is air pollution view in the map. i think you confused it with CO2? i did not mean that. "punishing anyone who lives in vicinity of that person who is a smelter/industralist" punishing the everyone is the whole idea of pollution. random garbage, water raising, wet tailing, debris, animal dies off, etc. i don't see server turning those off being a popular server. one steam engine produces like 0.04% air pollution around it so i failed to see how this would punished early bird. My suggestion aimed to punished unorganized town which literally the whole idea of its having influent and town claim to protect its farming area and pollution stuff from effecting their farm.
pollution should reduce the housing benefit therefore leveling up, that sounds like the punishment already plus easier to calculate (compare where do you stay in the moment)
