Ability to upgrade MY Homestead to town
I have claimed a very large area and set citizens and authorization (70ish plots). I finally created the Town Foundation but I can't put it in my area. It appears I have to unclaim everything and redo it all. It would be a nice feature if, because I own the homestead, I could upgrade the homestead to a town.

A homestead is personal property while towns emit influence and provide public property based on the amount of citizens the town has - homesteads cannot be upgraded to a town, as you would no longer have any personal property that you need for many things to work, they are hence inherently different things. With default settings you also can't get that many claims and claimstakes for your homestead without having a town to begin with, that is only available on low collaboration settings to ease the experience for singleplayers and small coop groups. As such I'm closing this suggestion, as we are unfortunately not going to implement it. You can always just unclaim a few plots in the middle of the homestead and place the town foundation there.
